Viewing Platform complete

It is a raw wintry day as I write this, snow is topping the peaks, the sun is hiding making it dismally peaceful.

You may have seen that we have completed the Viewing Platform, beautifully constructed by Caleb and the team from Kings Construction and Rick and Dave from Ricks Rock Walls. The funding for this project came from the Aotearoa Gaming Trust for which we are most grateful. Thank you to Steve Bennett and the team at AGT.

I have heard twittering’s around what are we viewing… fair comment at this stage, please know we are working very hard to bring you a sculpture which will be placed directly opposite. All good things take time and this is no different. I will keep you posted on the developments. Exciting times ahead.

GNews 05.23.24 FINAL2

I would like to shout out to the Geraldine High School students and their teachers who assisted in planting bulbs along the Memorial Walkway in Kennedy Park. In addition, the Waihi River Volunteer Group and Steve Sullivan also made a massive contribution is getting those final bulbs planted – without this help Spring just wouldn’t look the same, fingers crossed for a beautiful display in a few months time. Thank you everyone.
