The first sculptures have gone up on the Geraldine Sculpture Trail

The Geraldine Sculpture Trail will eventually comprise a series of four loop trails around central Geraldine. The Waihi River loop was the first completed, and the first sculptures have just gone up on this loop, in Todd Park.

These two installations—one a large metal sculpture, the other a set of five stone carvings—are on loan from the Aigantighe Gallery in Timaru.

These temporary installations will remain for two years, and in the meantime the permanent installations will begin to appear, while work continues to create or upgrade the paths forming the remaining three loops.
