I really wanted to share with you some very exciting news, Trevor Askin renowned Timaru sculptor, has created especially for the our trail his portrayal of 3 trees caught in a nor’ west wind. The work is called Nor Wester.

The foundation has been prepared by TDC Parks Department end of last week, and installation finally achieved end of last week.  Joey and his team at Hilton Haulage are the magic behind the transportation and installation, with Thompson Engineering assisting with foundation materials, and the wonderful Aigantighe Art Gallery behind the sponsorship of this work with a grant from Perpetual Guardian.  Phoenix Engineering has worked very closely with the artist to bring this magnificent work to the Geraldine Sculpture Trails’ Domain Trail.

A truly collaborative effort with remarkable folk leading their organisations towards the outcome of this work.  Special thank you to; Garth, Dave, Penny and Reuben, Joey, Michelle, Cara, Simon and the extremely talented Trevor Askin for this work, to be enjoyed and spark creative conversations for all who experience it.

Look forward to seeing you out there, as always I am available on 027 222 7663, warm regards Rosie.
