In the loop – May 2025

What a stunning autumnal day. Was that damp summer worth it just so we can enjoy days like this, it almost seems that it was.

I want to share with you, insight into one of our contractors, Rick from Rick’s Rock Walls.  His workmanship is outstanding and so professional.  Rick has been involved with the trail project from the early construction days and I am sure he will be involved as we journey into the future.   He is a pleasure to work with, is excellent at deciphering my terrible drawings when I’m trying to get across an idea. His work ethic is second to none.

You will see Rick’s workmanship when you wander around the Geraldine Sculpture Trails (GST). The rock wall at the entrance to the Rhododendron Dell opposite the Service Centre, the entrance to the new Boardwalk, the columns on the viewing platform and on all of the bases of the signage.  His latest work is building the foundation for the new sculpture, which is to be installed Friday 23rd May. we are having a special unveiling ceremony at 4pm on that day, on the lawn just outside the Geraldine Library.  Rick was amazing when he stepped up to ensure everything would be in place in a timely manner for this event.

Thank you, Rick, I look forward to many more years working with you, all the best, Rosie and the GST team.

As always, I am happy to hear from you anytime,

Rosie.
