In the loop – April 2025

Wow, do I have some very exciting new to share with you.  We have this beautiful sculpture coming to the Trail. It is by renowned artist, Fiona Garlick from Arrowtown.  Fiona is one of our Art Advisory Groups top 10 artists selected for us to work with.

I have been working with a member of the public for the last few months.  They reached out to me as wanting to donate a sculpture in memorial to beloved parents, and we are very happy to share that this piece has been selected.  It is called Piwakawaka and the Pine Cone, it is a cast bronze 6/7 of a series, the plinth material is blue stone.  The Dimensions: Bronze 600 x 300 x 350cm plinth 290 x 980 mm.

The location has been selected, it will be placed centrally in a location for all the public and visitors to the area to enjoy.  I still have some sign offs to work through with Timaru District Council but this should be worked through very soon.

I will keep you posted, via GNews of the developments.

As always, I am happy to hear from you anytime,

Rosie.
