Wow, what an amazing holiday! Eight US national parks and 8,775 kilometres later, I am finally home, surrounded by beautiful crisp fresh air, glorious snow-capped mountains, and our wonderful Geraldine community.

Winter is truly here, not necessarily marked by the snow on the mountains but certainly by the number of frosts we’ve experienced, bird feeders hanging in the trees, firewood piles, and limited sun to dry clothes.

It is a raw wintry day as I write this, snow is topping the peaks, the sun is hiding making it dismally peaceful. You may have seen that we have completed the Viewing Platform, beautifully constructed by Caleb and the team from Kings Construction and Rick and Dave from Ricks Rock Walls.
